Website Terms of Use
BACKGROUND: These Website Terms of Use (‘Terms’), together with any documents referred to herein, set out the terms under which you may use this website (“Our Site”). Please read these Terms carefully. Your agreement to comply with and be bound by these Terms is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Site. If you do not agree, you must stop using Our Site immediately. These Terms do not apply to membership of our matchmaking and personal introduction services, for which the Project 143 Terms and Conditions of Membership apply separately.

2. Information About Us
Our Site is owned and operated by us.
3. Access to Our Site
Access to Our Site is free of charge. It is your responsibility to make any arrangements necessary to access Our Site. Access is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may alter, suspend, or discontinue Our Site at any time without notice, and will not be liable for any unavailability.
4. Applications for Membership
Certain parts of Our Site will require you to be approved for membership before you can access them. Our Site is not an e-commerce site — all membership applications, approvals and activities are arranged off-line and governed by the Project 143 Terms and Conditions of Membership.
If you would like to become a member, please enquire via the Contact Us page or by email to info@project143.co.uk. We will contact you within twenty-four (24) hours to discuss your requirements, and arrange a free, no-obligation consultation of up to an hour at one of our locations in central London. Following the consultation, if we consider you suitable for membership, we will email you our information pack, Membership Agreement, and the Project 143 Terms and Conditions of Membership for you to sign. Services commence once these are signed. You may also opt in to our newsletter and similar communications via Our Site.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All Content on Our Site, and the copyright and other intellectual property rights subsisting in it, belongs to or is licensed by us, unless specifically labelled otherwise, and is protected by UK and international IP law. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, rent, sub-licence, store, or otherwise re-use Content without our express written permission, save that you may access, view, and use Our Site in a web browser.
6. Links to Our Site
You may link to Our Site provided you do so fairly and legally, without suggesting any false association, endorsement, or approval; without using our logos or trade marks without permission; and without damaging our reputation or taking unfair advantage of it.
You may not link to Our Site from any site whose main content is sexually explicit, obscene, offensive, hateful, inflammatory, promotes violence or unlawful activity, is discriminatory or defamatory, is intended to harass or deceive, infringes privacy or IP rights, or otherwise breaches a legal duty owed to a third party.
7. Links to Other Sites
Links to other sites on Our Site are for information only. Unless expressly stated, we do not control and are not responsible for their content, and inclusion does not imply endorsement.
8. Disclaimers
The Content on Our Site is provided for general information purposes only and does not constitute advice on which you should rely. We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that Our Site will meet your requirements, be compatible with your software/hardware, or be secure, though we make reasonable efforts to keep Content complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
9. Our Liability
This clause applies only to use of Our Site, not to our matchmaking and personal introductions service (governed separately by the Project 143 Terms and Conditions of Membership). To the fullest extent permissible by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from use of Our Site or reliance on its Content, and exclude all warranties save those which cannot lawfully be excluded (including liability for fraud, or death/personal injury caused by our negligence).
10. Viruses, Malware and Security
We take reasonable care to keep Our Site secure and free from malware but do not guarantee this. You must not introduce viruses or malware, attempt unauthorised access, or attack Our Site (e.g. via denial-of-service). Doing so may constitute an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we will report and cooperate with law enforcement in such cases; your right to use Our Site ceases immediately upon such a breach.
11. Acceptable Usage Policy
You must use Our Site lawfully and must not use it for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose, or to transmit viruses or malware. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access, remove content, issue warnings, pursue legal proceedings, or disclose information to law enforcement in the event of a material breach.
12. Privacy and Cookies
Use of Our Site is also governed by the Project 143 Privacy & Cookie Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may alter these Terms at any time; changes become binding on your first use of Our Site after implementation.
14. Contacting Us
Please email info@project143.co.uk or use the Contact Us page.
15. Communications from Us
We may send important notices by email (e.g. service changes, changes to these Terms). We will never send marketing emails without your express consent, and you may opt out at any time (allow up to 10 business days to take effect). For questions or complaints about communications, contact us at info@project143.co.uk.
16. Data Protection
Any personal information we collect will be collected, used, and held in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and your rights and our obligations under that legislation — see our Privacy & Cookie Policy for full detail. We will not pass on your personal information to third parties except as set out there.
17. Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms, and the relationship between you and us, are governed by English law, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
